Airport friendly shoes?

Time for a new shoe, any recommendations on a comfortable shoe that doesn’t set off metal detectors?

Johnston and Murphy don’t have metal shanks. Pro tip: get them in the PHL terminal to take advantage of no sales tax in PA

This shoe is confirmed metal free?

I've been wearing these. I like them. Comfortable and metal shank free.

Nunn Bush

They have slip-on low tops and the Dakoda high top is good for winter slush ops.

RM Williams are high quality and metal free. On the pricey side, but well worth it.

Had my pair for almost 10 years now, definitely worth the initial investment.

Yes. I got a pair for Christmas. Metal free. Definitely way more comfy than Ecco, but twice the price too. They have slip on versions as well. My first pair didn't fit and I sent them back and got a different size days later. Hassle free.

Funny. It worked the other day. Store doesn't even show them as an available option when when 'shopping'.

AmberJack Chelsea are nice but have absolutely 0 traction once you step in de-ice fluid, snow or water. I noticed it a little a few months ago and finally in the snow the other day it was like walking on ice. I won’t be using them anymore because of that.

Ariat.com

Search ‘Roper’

I’ve worn Ariat Heritage Roper Western boots for the past 10+ years. They come in black with a plain toe and have rubber soles. Metal detector friendly. Great at keeping your feet dry on wet/snowy ramps. If you can get past the first few weeks of breaking them in you’ll feel like you’re wearing slippers at work! I’ll never go back to wearing shoes at work.
