So you're blaming Bidenomics instead? I can definitely see that but I think there is a case of a little bit of both. Disney films are tanking. They even ruined the beloved Star Wars franchise. South Park didn't do them any favors. Disney has lost their luster by imposing themselves into the toxic political arena. It’s going to take them a few years and sweeping changes to their leadership to recover.

It isn't one or the other. Some people might be boycotting Disney due to ideology. Others may simply be broke or boycotting them because Walt's dream of a cheap family vacation now costs as much as a Super Bowl ticket. Traffic at the parks was trending down a few quarters ago but I haven't researched it since.

That's just an uninformed nonsense post. Did you even look at the graph? Every airline but allegiant carried between 1-10% MORE passengers than last year. Have you ever heard of supply and demand?

On the airline side MCO added 50% more gates and airlines responded with more capacity. Way more supply led prices to drop which is what the first chapter in every economics textbook says will happen.

Being called any of those terms doesn't pack the same punch as it used to. Liberals have cheapened the meaning by calling anybody who doesn't agree with their extremist agenda those things. It’s like the boy who cried wolf, the terms have been overused by a certain political party.

To your last point: yep.

I've read in some places that advanced resort bookings is trending up 5-10% for 24.

From Iger "even in the case of Walt Disney World, where we have a tough comparison to the prior year, when you look at this year’s numbers compared to pre-pandemic levels in fiscal ’19, we have seen growth in revenue and operating income of over 25 and 30%, respectively.”

Not surprising at all. They should have known that demand would drop in that area. Less people are going to Disney. Fed up with their politics and misguided woke ideology.

the article doesn't say demand dropped. Just didn't grow as much as the capacity airlines added.

Because if someone doesn’t agree with the woke movement, it automatically makes you racist, sexist and/or homophobe. Hopefully you were being sarcastic and I missed it

They don't know. The irony is they have overused the term woke so much they don't even know what it means

For sure--that probably has more than anything to do with Disney's massive declining attendance. 2019-2020 aside, 2022 had the lowest attendance in a decade and 2023 was even lower. That's millions of butts not in airline seats.
