KCM/Random Screening Stats

Has anyone found or heard of any stats related to the KCM random screenings? i.e. number of randoms per approvals, amount of unallowed items found on random screenings, Pilot vs. FA stats?

Or is this harassment just a TSA secret and they just hate the fact we can use it so they are intentionally trying to sabotage it?

I wonder if a FOIA would work or is KCM too secret squirrel?

I submit it’s a little bit of both your suppositions.

According to my legacy’s management, it’s not just FA’s being found with contraband or breaking the rules. It’s pilots too. They claim TSA has the data to ramp up the random screenings (which find even more contraband), further justifying the increased screening. Not saying I believe them entirely (finding a loaded gun is a ‘tick’ in the column just like carrying through your wife’s big shampoo bottle), but there seems to be at least some data to support it.

Never mind that we are not the threat, and we don’t need to sneak any weapon onboard to make a horrible tragedy. And the SIDA badge wearers are much higher threat, but whatever. TSA is going to protect their precious screening protocols.

My personal experience is 50/50…it’s really like flipping a coin.
KCM should be pilots only…sorry not sorry.
We get the most stringent background checks, half of us are former military or active ANG.
FA’s…meh not so much.

Fair enough on the background checks and barrier to entry but if FAs don't have access to KCM, it becomes harder to justify the program as a whole. You can't even board without FAs so what is the point of getting us through security that much faster?

I've heard when they find contraband, they fill out a form. All of that should be public information. I'm surprised the union hasn't FOIAd it yet

Depending on the airline/contract FA’s stay in different hotels and they have an earlier report time anyway.
The monkeys are running the circus.
There, I said it.

meanwhile a pilot brought a gun to a foreign country last year… and discovered it when coming back through security. TSA’s job is stop terrorism, not smuggling drugs.

also, there are plenty of FA’s that were former military… and wait till you learn that some even work for 3 letter agencies. so get off your high horse

You just had to add that last bit yeah? Couldn’t help yourself?
We’ve got more FA’s working for cartels then we do for “3” letter agencies.
