the different tails tell a story...... We've been through a bunch of turmoil over the last decade and each tail design marks a different time in our history, i.e., change of CEO, new low cost carrier, emergence from bankrupcy. Makes me wonder if we'll keep the new design for a while, or will it change again soon, or like Pan Am, Eastern and Branniff, will it just fade into history? Interesting times we live in my friend..... I'm hoping for the best prepared for the worst. We're still at war and energy prices are volitile as ever.

A long time ago I heard if that happens they'll blend the names:

From Delta Airlines, they will take "Delta"

For Northwest Airlines they will take "Airlines"....
