UAL pay raises
Can anyone post what the Jan 08 payrates will be at UAL. Also wondering if there are domicile and/ or equipment freezes for newhires. Thanks

Jan 08 will add an additional 1% to the B-Fund - no adjustment to take home pay.

The 1% addition will bring the UAL's monthly defined contribution to 16% |
Do new hires get the monthly guarantee while in training. Also, are new hires responsible for their hotel the entire training period or is it just until you start the simulator?
Also..to answer previous question...I think it is a 3 year equipment freeze. |
First in prior years UAL hired, new hires were responsible for the hotel during training, from start to finish. The Red Lion (Dead Lion) by the training center was the hotel most everyone used. In my case I spilt the room with some one in training, so it only cost us about 20 a night, if I remember correctly.
Currently, UAL has 3 year freezes on all equipment. During training new hires get only guarantee as a reserve, which is 70 hours. Hope this helps. |
Thanks very much. I appreciate the info.

The equipment freeze is a bit of a bummer considering the junior equipment (-300 & 320) is not found in all of the bases. I live in Oregon and would primarily be interested in SFO or LAX. The -300 is not domiciled in Cali & DEN is senior. I would be stuck commuting to ORD for 3 years if assigned the -300

"Wow. That's a 6.67% pay increase! What are they complaining about? " See how figures lie and lairs figure? (15% to 16% = 6.67% more.) Maybe I should be in management. |
