NWA pay

Are the pay rates on apc fairly accurate for NWA? I just remember an almost 50% pay consessions and wondered if the scale reflects the lower pay.. thankyou

filejw 08-30-2007 06:32 AM

Those rates are correct.

ce650 08-30-2007 06:37 AM

Don't forget the 1.5% raise in January. I can't wait!!!

I'm not 100% sure but, I think after that bump, I'll be able to supersize.

I must consult my financial advisor.

Does it matter?? that would make it a 45 cent increase pr.hr.

Apparently sarcasm doesn't translate well when typed.

nerojet70 08-30-2007 05:08 PM

Why would anybody possiblly want to go there? they are all miserable there!

INAV8OR 08-30-2007 05:17 PM

nothing is better then living in your base, that is why people go to nwa. I agree, had I not been born and raised in MSP-NWA would not even be a choice to go to, but I just want to go home and work for my home town airline...

Hey, only we can say we are miserable. You can't

Try to come up with a better first post than than one that tries to tell people how things are at a place where you don't even work.

If any pilot group can turn things around it's NWA's. They should all be flying alittle less or at least getting paid to fly more with their new LOA...

citationdrvrmob 08-31-2007 05:52 AM

I'd rather be miserable at a legacy than a regional....

atpcliff 08-31-2007 03:04 PM

Hi!

Because they're miserable at NWA, UAL, DAL, CAL, USAir, AirTran, Frontier, Alligient, Alaska, etc., etc. I even know of a guy who's miserable at UPS, and I'm sure there are some at FedEx also.

Don't forget me!!

We're on a 1997 contract... We turned down a Matching pay scale of UAL on Aug 31 2001.
We took a 23% pay cut in may 2003. Lost a lot of work rules. Granted we've still got pensions...and we've recouped a little of the 23 % pay cut...
Then watched our MGMT team give themselves 173 million of our 240 mil profit from last year.
I'm on reserve...
I need to get layed...
Home alone on a friday night not feeling well...

Something Special in the Air

But on the scale of life, i'm lucky to have a job.

I'm just a single guy. If I had to support a wife (with shopping dysfunction) kids, cat, dog, GERBIL...
I'd be in debt and then MISERABLE.

Fact is I sold my waterfront home when I saw our Pay Cuts coming, and downsized. A lot of people couldn't. I was able to and am NOT MISERABLE YET.
But support my Brothers sisters at NWA DAL CAL UAL
UPS FDX ect in trying to negotiate better pay and work rules.

Sounds familiar...substitute regional for legacy and CFI for regional...same deal and the industry continues down its' present path.

That's what I thought. The -9 Capt I talked to a couple of weeks ago seemed to have a different view.

The best reply I have read in a long, long time. I couldn't agree more. Best of luck to you. I hope you make it.
