US Airways....What's happening there?

The profile on this site for US Airways says that all furloughees are recalled. What's the latest from someone on the inside? What kind of hiring is gonna happen there? Any news from someone who knows? I know all of our J4J guys are getting the recall.

I heard that something like one out of six furloughees took the bait. (can you blame them?). Some people that were in the new hire pool for America West before the merger have been assigned class dates. I have no idea how many they will hire. We are always the last to know.

400 to 450 new hires next year. I'm not sure how many will be on the West side. A guess would be 100 to 150.

Stay away- far, far, away. This place is imploding fast. Management is in over their heads, operations a mess, and employees that REALLY don't like each other. NOT a good long term employment destination...

Just heard 420, but that was second hand. Still don't know how many out West. I find it hard to believe the training centers could handle that number. Then again PHX was running 20-30 a month before the merger.

So not the place to be. Any chance that will change? What would it take, or will Airways close it's doors before that happened?
