To your original question, SWA is not interviewing anyone until sometime in the first quarter of 2008.

There are 2 classes in Sept, 1 in Oct and no more scheduled for 2007. There are rumors of more classes in Nov and Dec, but they are just rumors for now. Most rumors from the PD is that classes will start back up in Jan 2008.

The pool has 380+ swimming right now. There will be one more decision board (Sept) and then hiring will stop until early 2008.

Is the pool first in first out?

If that many are in the pool, I would think anyone hired in 2008 will probably have to wait till 2009 for class?

FP--Your pool date is based on when you get your type rating. If you interview with the rating, then your pool date is your interview date. If you get "the call" and don't have the type, your pool date is when you get your type.

Yes, those hired in 2008 are in for a long wait. I don't think the ones hired in the first months will go to 2009, but probably last quarter of 2008 at the earliest.
