Our employee lot (CAL) is completely full at the moment so I have to find an alternative parking...

Taking the EL train could be a possibility but parking at the station is $12/day..

Anybody know of any specific hotels that will let you park? I've called around with no luck.

TIA

Here is a possible answer for you all. First off in response to some of the above questions. A MDW badge will NOT get you into any lots at ORD and vice versa.

There is a Best Western or a Comfort Inn northwest of ORD just off Touhy I believe that will give you $10 bucks a day.

Here is the possible answer: The Metra north central line stops at ORD. Most of the towns/stops upline will let you park for $3/day or you can buy a monthly pass for like $30. You do not have to live in the town. At the Mt. Prospect stop you can leave your car overnight and on the weekends too. The fare from Mt Prospect to ORD is $2.35 and is the very next stop.

The down side is that the trains don't run on the weekends and have sparse service inbound in the afternoon and outbound on the morning. If you are willing to plan a commute it works well.

I am lucky in that I can walk to the stop from my house in 15 minutes. It has worked out fine for me for the past 2 years of not having an ORD badge.

I think you mean the Prospect Heights Metra (North Central Service) train station. That is one stop up from ORD's transfer.

I live directly across the street from the Mt. Prospect, IL Metra Union Pacific Northwest line (the only line that goes through Mt Prospect) station. It does not go directly to ORD at all. You can take buses from the Mt. Prospect train station (if you park there) that will get you to ORD, but that is the wrong train line to get you to ORD.

Info at Metra / North Central Service Schedules and Metra / Union Pacific District Northwest Line

Yes, you are correct. I meant Prospect heights!

At MDW park on the "M" streets just west of Central off of 55th St. There are no parking restrictions there like there are on the "K" streets on the east side of the airport. There is an employee lot just west of the Hostess bread shop on 55th street with bus service every 15 minutes to the terminal.
