Good. I hope the rest of the major airline pilots follow them right out the door.

move on!

"The arbitrator's ruling falls short, he says, because it is not based on the date of hire."

I almost hope US east does leave ALPA so the US west ALPA can forgo "career expectations" and just staple all of them. I swear they are acting like petulant little children, stomping their feet, crying, and running to mommy because they don't like what the arbitrator gave them. They should have negotiated a settlement---going to arbitration is a huge risk for both parties.

Now I don't truely have ill wishes for any pilot caught up in this---however, they need to move on and negotiate a new contract for the entire work group (btw, don't go to arbitration with the company!). The company is just laughing at that work group bickering amongst themselves....all the while they get to sit on the sidelines, watch the pilots beat each other up, while the "new" contract just continues to be kicked farther down the road.....

The US Air east leaders are making false promises again. Opting out of ALPA is not going to rescind the Nicolau ruling. It will just go to federal court where it will be shoved as-is doun their throats. Maybe that is not such a bad thing.

US Air management is laughing all the way to the bank account. All the money they set aside in the budget for not only the pilot's contract, but the F/A's and mechanics is going to be put back in the general fund, and passed out as bonuses to management. Unforunately this will be the practice for the next couple of years. The pilots are giving management a bonus, are we not nice.

slightest:

I think you are probably right. The two things you need to realize are:

1. If you are a West guy, the east guys have given up more than you'll ever have.

2. There is a difference between a guy who gets his ass kicked after a good fight and a guy who never throws a punch and un-balls his fist and still gets his ass kicked.

O yeah, one more

"Doun" is a district/city in Cambodia. "Down" is a less massive object's motion toward the cg of a more massive object's cg. And having something shoved down your throat is never good a good option.....but I wouldn't know for sure.

You forgot #3:

3. The guy that cries like a baby and pulls out a grenade. Hence blowing all involved to smithereens.:D

That guy would probably have to have been abused pretty bad for a very long time to pull a stunt like that.

Does that sound like the AAA pilot group to you?

See now why I have no desire to go to mainline US Airways? I could care less if they give us a flowthrough agreement, cause I won't use it.

This article gives great insight to the flaws in the seniority system.

Yeah, except for the fact he's taking out the [U]wrong[U] people. Kind of like the guy that walks into a McDonald's and machine guns random people. Real friggin stupid.
