Major Without Degree

Major Without Degree
Hey guys,
I'm looking for an answer here from someone who "knows" about recruiting at the majors.
Many moons ago I completed 92 college credits. I then made the switch and got into flying.
I'm 11 classes away from completing a seperate degree at ERAU. I have a total of 153 combined college credits to date.
I have more than enough turbojet PIC to go anywhere. I will complete the remaining 11 classes and graduate next year.
Given that my combined credits exceed 120/4 years of college already, what are my chances of a job at a legacy/Purple/Brown in the interim?

I've heard that interviewing while currently enrolled and attending college goes well. Had several friends get hired without the actual diploma.
Just be able to prove you're actually currently working on it. Like most recent test scores ect.
But don't take my word for it. The magic dart on the hiring dartboard got me here.

How many hours do you consider enough? A friend of mine just got hired at brown with about 5,000TT(Mil/Civ)3500PIC-All multi-engine turbo jet/prop.

It depends on the airline. FDX currently has about 12K applicants. I dont know exactly how many of these applicants have degrees, but I would tend to think that most of them do. Everyone in my newhire class had a degree.

I have 7000 TT with 2500 jet pic. I guess "enough" is only "enough" once they offer you a class date.
As far as the degree goes, I'm months away from graduation. Hopefully a total of 7 years college will be enough too.

alvrb211,
UPS hires without a 4 year degree. Not a showstopper, but not common either. Commensurate experience w/o degree is probably weighed in the decision. Since you have so many hours, etc and working on degree with end date, I'd would believe UPS considered qualified and hirable.
Russ,
Personally, At a large company, I wouldn't think so since am in the opinion that HR is not limited to either you or the other applicant. If you both are personable, meet the requirements, etc you will both get a job. Maybe one goes in the pool, etc. Now at the corporate level the masters may break one out because may only be one position.
