yeah I think they were fine, they rolled right into the gate and parked, I did not see anything wrong with the airplane, it was right after ummm. I am trying to think of the time we left, right after 9.pm

I hope all is well..... Just FYI IMHO the MD-80 fleet at AA is falling apart. I am carrying much more MEL stuff and things like no APU, no auto-throttles, no AP, etc. etc. The icing on the cake was in August I flew an 8o DFW - AUS then AUS - DFW with one pack operation. It was horrible and hot! They wanted me to take the AC on to my next destination. I refused to continue with that AC. Pi$$ed some folks off but I'm tired of shuttling folks around in these conditions. So MD-80 good bye..... By good luck, and my seniority I'm transferring to the 737. They may not be in any better shape but I know that grass over there is greener??? My point is after the engine fire a week or so ago at STL and all the stuff I've been seeing MD-80 guys need to spend more time in the "library" reading their ORH... gonna need it more! Good luck to AA we have a bunch of these things and not many new AC on order???? Spoke to the fleet MGR while he was sitting in my cockpit a few weeks ago and he said the last (aka youngest), AA MD-80's will be flying until 2025????
