US Airlines Fleet 'too old'?

A bunch of bull.
The guys stats are all wrong. Southwest has a fleet age average of 9 years, not 16.
I'm sure Continental's average is lower than stated.
The writer mentions an Asian carrier has an order for 95 737NG's but forgets to add that SW,CO,DL,and AA have taken delivery of over 500 737NG's with many more coming in the years ahead.

Unless CAL recently purchased a bunch of OLD airplanes, our fleet still remains one of the youngest in the industry. We have 33+ new 73's on the way next year and 25 787's starting to show up the year after. That's the problem with articles like this, they MISINFORM the reader.

I also love the part where some guy wishes our government would allow more foreign airlines to fly within the U.S. to "increase the competition"................what joke
I cant read any articles about our industry, my blood pressure goes bananas
