Hello everyone, I am sure this has been covered before but, Where is training at Airtran? What do you get paid during training, etc...
Negative comments welcome "IF" you are a Airtran Pilot. Thanks in advance.

I just finished a trip with a guy who is off to AirTran. Training is in ATL. You have to pay for your own hotel/crashpad, no per diem, and you are paid 70 hr guarantee from day one. That is about all I know...he is pretty excited though!

captchris is pretty much right. if u can get a sim session out side of ATL the hotels are paid for and per diem kicks in. changes all the time but we do use sims in MIA and SEA. hotels can be found pretty cheap in the area and crash pads are a plenty as well. you will need one while you are on reserve if you commute. and they average under 200 bucks a month.

pay is 4 hours a day...so if you are in training a lot you can get more than 70 hours a month...i got 84 one month as a new hire

All above is correct. CASS is ready for new-hire within first couple days of training, so you may JS back home on the weekend. If you get the 717, it's pretty old school, do what they say and you'll be just fine. The 737 is more "gentleman" like..
