I've heard that SWA plans on hiring about 400 next year, but about 350 are already in the pool. Can anyone confirm any of this?

Closer to 380, from what I've heard--probably a bit higher. That's roughly 10 months worth of training classes (assuming 2/mo avg.). We should know in a couple of weeks whether the pool drain opens up.

The plan of today is 380 in the current pool and hiring 450 for 2008. Interviews may start in the spring.

I called HR last week and they told me I am 16 classes out if that helps.

Just got the email from PD asking me to update my PRIA records. I've got a 5/25 pool date. We should start hearing more soon.
