Does JB do a phone "interview"?

I got a call yesterday from the folks at JB (they left a message) and wanted to know if they do any kind of interview when you talk to them or if they are just getting avail dates/info.

Thanks

everything could be an interview

Is it officially a phone interview probably not, but I guarantee you if you acted lick a jerk it would not help your chances of getting hired. Now if you were professional and polite then i am sure you do not have anything to worry about. Really they are just calling to ask you when you want to interview and make sure you meet the mins.

Cool and thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if they would ask any company info, etc or if it was just going to be like you mentioned.

I was asked "Why JetBlue?", after I answered she gave options for interview dates/time.

Do tell...who was "she"? Nicole is the one that called me. And thanks for the head's up.

Have you talked to her directly on the phone?

I played some phone tag, and on the first call is when she asked me the question. I believe it was Nicole who handles some of the pilot stuff, they are good people. You'll be dealing with them quite often as you progress down the process.

Good Luck.

Nope, she just left me a messge on Thursday. I tried to call her back on Friday, but guess she was already on leave. Guess we'll be playing a little bit of phone tag. Glad to hear they are good people, but I've heard that from others as well.

Good luck to all you guys/ladies. I've been here since April '06 and I'm really enjoying myself. There's plenty of b!tching to go around, but I'm sure that's the case at most places. It's what we do.

I have a buddy working for JB now and he is really enjoying it. Guess it's all frame of refernce. After flying for the AF in a C-130 the Bus and the company are HUGE changes for the better. But as with many things, the vocal minority seem to get much more press than the silent majority. Guess we'll see, but JB seems like a darn good place to work to me...

JB did a phone pre-screen for a while back in 03-04 I believe. After enough guys said "no...its his brother...but I'll have HIM call you back..." they finally realized trying to do screening over the phone on an impromtu basis wasn't a good plan.

That said--anytime the phone is off the reciever its an interview. So is the van ride to the hotel...and the check in....and the dinner in the hotel the night prior. Be on first date ROE and you should be fine.
