Sierra Pacific

Just sitting here on a stopover at Navy Norfolk, and on the ramp is a 757 from ATA and an old 737 for Sierra Pacific. Never heard of Sierra Pacific, and was wondering if anyone out there knows anything about them.

Thanks

I remember a Sierra Pacific from WAY back that operated some Convairs out in the Mammoth area. I think they were owned by a ski resort or something.

More recently I have seen an old 737-300 with Sierra Pacific on the tail out in Salt Lake City and Newark. I think it was a "born again" charter outfit out of Tucson, last I saw their airplanes was early 2004, so not sure if they are still operating or not.

Sierra Pacific is a charter outfit out of TUS. They used to do a lot of Forest Service charters, hauling fire crews around the Southwest. They used to have CV 580s and 737s.

They also flew for Morris Air out of SLC until SWA bought Morris out.
