Delta-Any chance?
 

I had a one-on-one with Capt. Plato Rhyne way back in the beginning of 2001. At the time Delta was still hiring but is was slowing and interviews were being pushed back to the fall of 2001. Capt. Rhyne told me that I would definately be getting an interview, however it would not be till the 3rd quarter of '01. Well the rest is history. My question is, is there any hope of resurrecting that offer of an interview anymore? I know it is a long shot but anything is worth a try. Thanks.

There is always a chance. If you don't ask, you don't get.

However, I was in a somewhat similar situation. In 2001, I applied through UPAS and with the help of a friend got moved to the "top of the stack". June of 2001, they stopped hiring and as you said the rest is history.

I applied again through airlineapps.com and was invited to an interview later this month. Kicked the studying up a few notches and will probably never feel prepared.

I'm wondering why you are waiting until now to ask this question since they have been hiring for about a year?
