Skybus Info

Hey all,

Just wondering if someone could shed a little light on Skybus, schedules, future growth (planes, cities etc.) upgrade time, do you get typed in training, how many planes presently and when the next ones are coming, opening new domicles (psm or ?) etc.?

Any and all factual info would be great.

Please don't flame, i understand everyone has an opionion, i would like legit info with someone in the know. Thanks in advance.

Did you try using the Google search located on the upper left side of the page? Lots of info has already been posted here.

I'm not in house, but the earnings from the Oct-Dec 07 quarter aren't out yet. The earnings from Jul-Sept 07 weren't posted until mid-Dec 07, so the next report may not come out until mid-March.

It's bound to be a whopper however, with average fuel prices significantly higher and some maintainance cancelations around Christmas time.

Are you interrested in flying for Skybus? What's your background? JP

Check out "CE750"s posts, he's an insider. Use the search feature in the light blue strip across the top. The post he made on 2-16-08 might inform you in the way you're seekng. JP

Got that Shiny Jet Syndrome bad enough to fly an Airbus for Regional turboprop wages, eh?

Lostboys97 03-01-2008 01:16 PM

What's the info. on jumpseating on Skybus flights? I'm a regional line employee based at CMH and looking to ride to OAK. Since there's no phone number for anyone, how can I check loads? Is there anyone at the airport to check-in with? Thanks!

I don't think you can check the loads you have to show up at the gate. They're cass. They fly 150+ seat airplanes chances are you're going to find one on the West coast flights, I have.

SkiBum112 03-03-2008 10:33 AM

We take anyone and everyone on the jumpseat, 135 and 121. Not sure of how to check the loads though, sorry. We have a ticket counter, and a gate agent, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to check loads for you if you walk up. Two jumpseats on the FD, obviously.

Lostboys97 03-03-2008 10:39 AM

Great news. Thanks for that SkiBum.

meritflyer 03-03-2008 12:47 PM

Skybus, Virgin, and GoJets all have something in common..

SkiBum112 03-03-2008 04:15 PM

What? Aside from those being the three most popular companies for you to flame bait about?

bqnflyer 03-03-2008 06:55 PM

hey skibum112. did you know how many classes they are doing per month?

SkiBum112 03-04-2008 12:59 PM

No, I want to say two is the average so far. About 8-12 guys per class.
