First flight on Express Jet

To All Express Jet folks out there.

Just wanted to let you know that I had my first flight on your airline from ONT to TUL tonight (18 Mar 08).

Nice EMB 145 (though the FREE XM radio kept cutting out) and a friendly flight crew who took time to answer some of my questions.

Lauren the FA did an outstanding job and worked harder than I have seen any FA work in a long time!

So....nice airplane, usually free XM radio, full can of soda, free sandwich and a cookie with bag of carrot sticks (with ranch dressing), another snack of chips and topped off with a peppermint!

Yes I know I'm making a big deal out of little things but the point is that it is better customer service and ammenities (if you can call them that) than I have seen for a long time.

I'm about to become a regular flyer with Express Jet since they opened the Fresno to San Diego route and now I'm looking forward to the experience.

WAY TO GO EXPRESS JET! Nicely done.

I had a similar experience. I wish them the best. It's a better product than the competition at the same price and often cuts a leg out of your trip.

Yes - a direct flight from ONT to TUL was great and saved quite a bit of time. It was a 3:15 road trip to ONT from home base - but the traffic wasn't bad so overall the whole experience was a good one. My first time to fly out of ONT but I'm thinking it won't be the last.

That's what I like to hear guys! Now if we could just get oil down below $110/bbl we'd be all set. ;)

To echo what NightIP wrote, thanks for the kudos! Welcome aboard. :)

Just wanted to add I got a chance to jumpseat with you guys (XJet) and was really impressed! (Thanks for the ride, btw) The crews have good morale, I like the route structure, and your fare prices are very competitive. Let's give them our business when we can!

:)

I really enjoyed my time as a CA on the branded side, the flying was rewarding and I have never seen so many happy pax. Commuting and DHing on XJT really was/is enjoyable!!

Just wanted to add that my return trip on Express Jet from TUL to ONT was just as enjoyable as my first experience except that this time the XM radio worked AND it was worth keeping awake for the entire 3 hr+ trip home just to watch the FA walk up and down the isle :D
I look forward to flying them many times on the Fresno to San Diego run in the future.
Thanks again XJet!

Glad you enjoyed it. Good to hear.

We are always glad to have jumpseaters too...don't get to many of them on the Branded side, as we call it in house.

Glad the FA was worth looking at too.

I run into a number of crews in RDU when jump seating to JFK on Jet Blue. Everyone who I spoke to likes the operation. Its great to see enthusiastic employees from gate agents to crewmembers.
