UAL at LAX?

Greetings UAL LAX folks (past and present)...

A fresh group of bright eyed and bushy tailed newbies are heading out to LAX soon to really test the shock absorbers on the A320 and we are circulating amongst ourselves the usual questions about being posted Left Coast as most of us are coming from the East. Perhaps folks might be able to address these questions, it's a real landry list but you have rapt attention out there...thanks ahead for your consideration.

1) Crashpads and hotels around LAX: Best place to find them? Average prices? Need a car to get around or public transport to LAX available?

2) How often do you get a trip starting or ending at other LAX base airports and how does one get to and fro?

3) We hear reserve is busy and some use this software for aggressive pickup to minimize crashpad/hotel time...is this true and does the software work?

4) What's a typical seriously junior reserve days off schedule looking like these days at LAX?

Alright I know it's alot but it will seriously help our group out!

I would go to the UAL web board and ask... might be able to hook up with other UAL LAX crewmembers.

If you are referring to the UAL MEC at the ALPA Crewroom web board then I did try that...there are no posts there on any subject.

Or I think you may be referring to the UAL MEC Forum...will email them and see how to get access.

Doing that...thanks Lambourne.

yes... thats the one... the ALPA site is not used by many anymore... lots on the UAL MEC forum. I think you will get help/info after you post your question.
