3 former students sue Hooters Air
Group says carrier used its ideas but didn't pay for them

By Mike Colias, Associated Press
June 16, 2005

CHICAGO - Three former aviation students sued Hooters Air on Wednesday, claiming the startup carrier used their business plan from a class project as the blueprint for launching the airline but never compensated them.

The former Southern Illinois University students said Hooters used their "concept, plan and work product" to start the airline in 2003 but never offered them management jobs or a stake in the company, according to a lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court.

Default hooters

It should be the other way around. If they followed the plan exactly then hooters should sue the children due to the plans obvious uslessness, because it's failing.....

Pace is failing, or 'HootersAir'?

I know their pay sucks.

I suspect that Hooters Air's real value is as a flying billboard. I doubt that they really have to make a profit on operations.

Airline is a tax write-off. The big $ will come from the casino in LAS now

If you are a single guy, and like big boobies, Hooters Airlines is a great place to fly on , but i supect most wives and girlfriends would rather see you book on some other airline....efectively auto-limiting their market share....of course unless you drive to the airport a month earlier and buy the ticket in cash....

Still waiting for an answer. Does anyone have any real info on what is happening over at Pace. Thought they had some pretty good contracts, maintenance type, etc.

Default Pace

Word on the street is that Pace is in big trouble. Hooters has suspended it's service to LAS - even though they are builing the casino. Hooters is only running two aircraft and not doing well. Pace's numerous contracts are ending and they are turning planes into the leasing company. Employees are seeking work elsewhere because they can see what is coming.
