Any VA guys know what the latest upgrade times are?
 

Just curious, not that I have much of a chance for an interview with the average pilot on the street today having better than 10K and such.. but what's the latest word as far as upgrade? And is there talk of any new crew bases?

interesting, even with the 24/mo hiring I'm being told about? not bad.

I started last week and I am 196 on the pilot list. 24 a month takes a large bite out of that

I have heard good and bad about VA (operations and MGT side). How are things going there?

I'm not there. I'm trying to garner a few things about the place. If you have anything to add, I'm all ears.

Thus far, I've not heard anything negative myself. I was just curious how long the upgrade was and if they have another base in the works.

Plan on JFK and EWR on the East coast but not until EWR flights begin.

EWR won't be starting anytime soon because we (CAL) gobbled up all the slots. I believe the ones VA were awarded required pax to leave from the origin around 3am and I've been told they are contesting this. Until they get better slots, no service to EWR. Gutsy move to try and compete in EWR with our lengthy delays...

I agree, I think LGA's more sense, or even JFK if they can go between the busy international pushes..
