7 B737NG (CVG) 5 MD88/90 (CVG) 7 MD88 (QNY) 737s were all gone by the 8th pick (#5 took QNY), this does not include the significant number of returnees who already bid their aircraft. Very Happy to be Here!:D |

Only 19 "new hires" the back half of the class is full of returnees who should join us tomorrow.

Supposedly, the decision has already been made to start hiring again in the fall for more 777 deliveries. Not sure how many, or exactly when.

Interesting - I think this is the first class since the fall that there haven't been any 7ER out of NYC.

Spoke with Crew Planning today. They said the VP of Flt Ops mentioned to the new hire class today that we would start hiring pilots again in about 4 months. Their opinion was that that might be a little overly optimistic, but that we would definitely be hiring by early 2009.
