They have 3 P&W powered 757s, flying only JFK-London-Stansted presently. Their interiors are luxurious, with work stations, fully-reclining beds and DVDs, trying to pry away full-fare biz travellers from AA,BA,VS and UA . Their one-way fare is $5400.00 US, and I hear their loads are 8-12 pax per flight. They might be adding a 2nd daily flight soon.

Thanks for the information.

12 pax at 5400 a pop does not even cover the fuel bill at current rates

Had a meeting today with someone close to their operation (not an EOS employee) who stated their load factors are in the 50% range. Apparently making money with those figures. Nothing mentioned about a second flight.

Fireman, you're right: Their loads have picked up, to about 35/40 per flight, but at deeply discounted tickets. Noone wanted to pay the other rates, so they've been offered at big discounts, which cuts their yield.

I hear their 2nd flight has been pushed back to September, and their extra 757 is going to be offered up for charters this summer.

A friend of mine interviewed with EOS two weeks ago for an April class. He received a call on Friday from EOS. They told him that the April class has been posponed indefinitely, however he will be in the next class.

I ran into an EOS crew in London Stansted yesterday while I was reporting for duty. They are not very optomistic about the long term future of EOS. Their current pilot base is looking for other opportunities.

I guess that means they will run a class when they start to lose crews rather than increasing their pilot base.

That $5400.00 one-way tkt is NOW going for $2250 and dropping fast. By the end of the month they will be accepting bus tokens and food stamps as payment.

Not very nice at all Krazo. Do you have an axe to grind or something?
