An ironic statement coming from an ExpressJet pilot. Undercutters have always been undercut....the way of the fee for departure world. Anyone remember when TSA was the regional of the west? Westair? Regional guys who claim to have such great contracts should do some investigation and see how the Westair contract looked. The whole thing is a poorly timed game of musical chairs and nothing more.

Never said we have the greatest contract and I'm well aware of what contracts use to be. But then again I guess we won't be around to much longer if these things continue. So much for us doing our part to try and bring back some respect to our level. I guess bashing us as we go down will really prove the point we need to keep undercutting others to get flying. I guess those of us at ExpressJet should just take huge paycuts so we can get all the CAL flying back.

I am not surprised. He is constantly deluding reality to fit his agenda of bitterness.

I was not bashing you or your employer. The irony in this is it has played out time and time and time again. Ignoring that and thinking your airline is somehow immune because you had what you deem to be a great contract is shortsighted. Regionals are lift providers and nothing more. The one with the cheapest lift usually wins.

Horizon is one of the last regionals to defy that model and as a result has service and equipment many MAJORS don't even know exists. It is sad to see such unoriginal thinking by Ayer and his henchmen bring a good place down.
