Jumpseat question, Newbie

I would like to jumpseat this weekend as I have a ton of time off and would like to know how to go about it. Is there a listing somewhere of numbers to call for offline seats? Trying to get on a Continental flight to San Juan but not a Continental pilot. Please advise, thanks.

Whomever you work for I would seek out your jumpseat coordinator. CAL has, in the past, been selective with who can, and cannot jumpseat internationally. Typically no listing is required, but you must be checked in at the gate NLT 90 minutes prior to departure (some say 75 minutes) or you will be denied.

I don't think that SJU is international.

I believe CAL got rid of their whole international list and domestic list. Shouldn't matter now for offline pilots.

If you work for an ALPA carrier, take a look at the ALPA intranet section on jumpseating. The ALPA jumpseat guide has phone numbers and info that would be helpful.
