I guess I'll go find an answer on another board.

Yes,
Original recall numbers for 06 were 300 but it looks like more will actually happen. I cannot give you the exact number off the top of my pointy head but about 1700-1800 will remain on furlough. Hope that helps. |
My sources tell me......
Here is what I found out from a few sources:
************************************************ The most junior pilot recalled that I know of is #7784; original hire class 1/17/00. He has a slot for the 1 May recall class. The junior man on the seniority list is #8915, leaving 1131 pilots who have not been recalled nor bypassed. We're almost at the halfway point of recalls. The latest official recall numbers (from UAL) shows #7776 as the junior man recalled. It also shows a bypass rate of 431 and total recalls of 498 which includes the 1 May class (I believe that this number includes mil leave). Those numbers do not account for an additional 104 pilots; which I suspect are non-mil LOAs. I'm waiting to see an update of those numbers, especially in light of the bond money. I think that a number of pilots who previously bypassed have taken slots in the end of April and 1 May classes. ************************************************* From another source: ************************************************* Just off the top of my head as well: Total furloughed: 2178 Total OFFERED recall: about half Recall rate: 300 for 2006, but may be more. Roughly 40% accepting recall, 40% bypassing, 20% on LOA (military, etc.) Hope that's all pretty close to actual. |
