Come on now, SP! Do you think DAL would hire based on a JPWA that hasn't even been negotiated yet?
But I should know better than to argue with the great and powerful SP92, who has far more insight into DAL than anyone who actually works there.

One can quickly see that that the majority of your posts are negative about everything this merger has to do with so what makes your comments worth any more than mine? I should know better than to argue with the great and powerful Spliff

it was a trickle down effect. The displaced 9 captains that have been displaced took mostly bus and 757 FO slots thus making the adjustments. The good thing is that they stopped hiring and supposedly already planned for most of the reductions. Remember a surplus of first year FO's is cheaper to keep around than furloughing people back to compass or mesaba. Any furloughs would be short term because of the soon to be new DAL staffing and work rules as well as the new planes coming on both sides. We shall see.
Thanks

Some did go to the widebodies. Most of them took the plane that gave them the best QOL in the base they wanted. Everyone is different

Why would I be negative on this subject? My employer is planning to hire more this fall, and is taking delivery of new airplanes. Sounds pretty positive to me.
