buffmike, is not about the money. the main issues are still unresolved:

1-we still get only a max of $500/week on OJI (on the job injury) for the first
3 months and after months 6 and on.

2-if you are on LOL (LOSS OF LICENSE/MEDICAL) you have to play COBRA after 6 months ,and then ,after 18 months, you loose you medical bennefits altogether.

3-our vacation/sick time accrual is half what the average is for other carriers

4-we have no scope protection

5-we have all our retirement outside of our PEA (PILOT EMPLOYMENT AGREEM,ENT) AND OUR MEDICAL BENEFITS AND PREMIUMS AS WELL, SO IT CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME

6-WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER SCHEDULING AND OUR PATHETIC fsm FALLS OUTSIDE OUR pea"a.

the list goes on and on...

please, buffmike, get informed and read the PCRB report!!!!then compare its findings with the sack of **** we got .... oh by the way, you got your pathetic raise at the expense of future hires who will now get $40 /hour....

Why don't you guys have a Union?

You should be glad we got anything considering the nature of the industry right now. Dude, just be happy your employed. Hey we're not even union and we're getting more than every company out there. Overall Im pretty happy with the outcome.

herk, once again it is not about the money . the changes to OJI,LOL MEDICAL,INCLUDING FSM ON PEA'S & sCOPE WOULD HAVE COST THE COMPANY $0.
I hope you never ever get hurt while working @ JB or you will wish we had real OJI. I really hope you never ever get sick and need to have medical insurance 24 months after you stopped working , because if you do , you will go bankrupt. I don't need any of that as my wife has decent medical, but some of our guys do. it is all about the values this company was founded upon, and leadership is not following them.

next time one of our guys gets sick I dare you to tell him/her that we did not need any of those improvements and that he/she should be thankful he/she was employed.

But some of those airlines that we were compared against have pilots on the street or gonna be on the street soon, United, America, US, Spirit, Midwest, Frontier and maybe a couple of more that I can't think of right now. Instead of thinking of what I don't have I am thinking of what I do have.

buffmike, some of the improvements JBPA is seeking will cost $0 but can only be achieved legally with a cba.
read my previous post . will you go tell that to our pilot who will get diagnosed with cancer next month? or how about to the one who will hurt his back falling on the ramp and will be out of work for 9 months receiving less than $500/week because our VSTD and LOL don't become effective on OJI?

Dude, just be happy your employed. The status quo is ominous to say the least and if you think we can demand all kinds of things right now your crazy. Wait until things turn around and the company will take care of us. I see other companies like United laying people off, Frontier laying off, we are getting raises? How can you be upset with that? JB treats us way better than most companies where the unions and mgt. can't get along. Be glad we that we are part of a company that cares about us and will not furlough.

Greedy, Do you ever get that feeling, like your speaking into a mirror?
Well I hear ya. good luck.

A much wiser Pilot than me once said, "The price of oil is the price of oil and the price of a Pilot is the price of a Pilot".

For those of you lucky enough to know Delta's Captain Mike Donatelli, you know he'd never tell you that you're just "lucky to be employed".

Ummm. OK.

I wish the best for you guys, I really do.

(mainly because you always have seats on my commuting flights) (preciate it!!!)

But if you guys think that you're somehow insulated by pretty airplanes, great service, industry darlings, ...whatever.........

Um, reality is just about to set in....

Honestly, no flame, but if you don't see where the revenue is in $140/bl oil and where your market share is then,
well ..ok then.........

Ok Jay now where did I say we are insulated by pretty airplanes, great service? I dont get your point. My point is that we are treated well at JB and our pay is guaranteed even if they did furlough, so to some degree we have protection. We are not the highest paid, we dont have the best benefits, but we dont have a hatred for our management. We get along well with other employee groups and to me that is more important than my paycheck to some degree. By the way many of us just got raises, pretty unusual in this current environment.

Other than the NW and DL pilots. Plus did every JBLU pilot get a raise or only some? Wonder how the pilots who didn't get a raise feel when the ones who did go around saysing how great the company is.
