Good for them. Me as a gate agent wouldn't tolerate that from them. Law Enforcement and denied boarding with no compensation would be handed out like it was going out of style. Classic case of gate agents losing control of the situation.

I posted the same story at the same time in the regional forum. Mine got closed . Oh well.

Here is my opinion on this. The news report did not give a reason why the crew was late. I still say good for the crew. I am guessing that there is a good reason why they were late and I am assuming that the pax got the reason and didn't care. This comes back to the fact that the average person in the back of the plane has no idea what the crew goes through on a day to day basis to get the flights out on time.

Although I doubt that it will happen, I hope the news coverage on at least one of the stations is fair. I wish that one day, it would be pointed out how hard we are truly working.

It was actually a flight to LGA. The best thing about the whole story is, after the passengers finally reached LGA... the luggage had been sent to JFK

That'll never happen, in the publics eyes, regardless of whatever is published out there, we are overpaid and under worked, and deserve far less than what we actually get.

Serves the pax right. Mostly New Yoricans going home, I am sure. They get hot tempered easily. Before I get blasted about my comment, I am married to a New Yorican.
