Would someone go into depth what TMAAT or SAR means?

TMAAT=Tell Me About A Time (...when you did such and such).

That's the way most interview questions are asked nowadays. The best way to answer these questions is to have done your homework ahead of time. I mean of course looking back at your career and find interesting stories that describe successful situations you have been in, and yet flexible enough that you can easily adapt them in case the question is slightly different than you were expecting.

SAR= Situation-Action-Results

Describes the core structure of your answers, or at least the way they should have been structured. You want to first set up your audience by describing the situation and the circumstanses that are appropriate. Next you want to describe what took place, how things happened. In the end don't forget to explain the consequenses of your actions. And, if I could add my personal favorite, what have you learned from it.
So you see, the acronim SAR is there to remind to tell the whole story in a way that make sense to the interviewers. You know your tales, you were there, but they weren't and they don't. So it's your job during the interview to cater to them by explaining thoroughly and in a logical sequence what it is that you are trying to tell.
