international airlines to fly domestic routes...

So I heard on Larry King live yesterday that the next big step for the airlines to save money is to have international airlines to start flying domestic routes. Well instead of giving jobs to them why dont the airlines just have more regional jet flights?

Great idea. Better yet, why don't you start flying your 172 from coast to coat for $150 per person. That is what the public wants and 2 people would fill your plane. Good luck with the new airline.

I too can't tell if you're kidding or not. If not, you might want to go back to the right seat of the C-172....

Screwed either way. I still think there's less ramifications with Obama.

The point im trying to make is that the airlines want to do that to save money because of higher gas prices, there has to be a better option than to give their routes to other airlines to take over, im not trying to start an airline im just asking a question.

As it currently stands, this is illegal and cannot be done. It's called cabotage. If the EU gets their way, it will no longer be illegal. If it becomes legal, who knows what will happen.
