800 Ual List

mexipilot84 07-25-2008 06:36 PM

"Flight 1776 looks Risky, would you still like to list?" followed by rhapsody in blue.

Dash8Pilot 07-25-2008 06:56 PM

UAL Robot: "What airline do you work for?"

Me: "Skywest"

Robot: "Did you say Shuttle America?"

Me: "No"

Robot: "My mistake. What airline do you work for?"

Me: "Skywest"

Robot: "Did you say Mesa?"

Me: "No you stupid piece of garbage. I said Skywest"

Robot: "I'm sorry, I'm having difficulty understanding you. Allow me to transfer you to an agent."

Followed by 10 minutes on hold.

Oh how I love the UAL nonrev line.

So I take it you don't need a file number when you talk to an agent?

mexipilot84 07-26-2008 05:37 PM

if you havent listed you might need it, however usually you can just get a quick load from the agent, as long as he understands you. Of course if youre a skywester like I used to be, they seem to frown on you. "what is your airline code?" How can you mess up OO? enjoy! I would suggest just getting the OMC card right of the bat.

Reminds me of 8 years ago when I worked at Great Lakes. Glad to hear that piece of garbage hasn't changed one bit.

You would think an airline based in Chicago would understand someone who has a Chicago/Midwest accent. The stupid thing could never recognize what I said.

In my case it's usually:

ROBOT: What airline do you work for?

ME: Skywest.

ROBOT: You said, Air Zimbabwe, correct?

ME: NO

ROBOT: My mistake, what airline do you work for?

ME: SKYWEST

ROBOT: You said, Mexicana, correct?

ME: NO!!!!!

ROBOT: Entre o diga su número del archivo

ME: *!#*!@*#*@

I always just say, "Agent" couple times, and then "Domestic", and it usually save me the trouble. Then you're put on hold for the next 15 mins...
