Customer Service
This guy should be taken out and shot.
Alaska seems to need better ways to choose employees to hire. About 1,500 customers of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air are being notified that their credit cards might have been misused by a former employee. Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE:ALK) of Seattle said a call center employee misused payment card information from customers who were paying for changes to reservations. Instead of processing the payment to Alaska or Horizon, the employee diverted the payment to a personal account from August 2006 through June 2008, the airlines said. The company is sending out first-class mail notification to customers, and "affected customers are encouraged to review their relevant payment card statements to ensure there have not been any unauthorized transactions," according to a company statement. An Alaska Airlines spokesman said the U.S. Secret Service is investigating the incidents. Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle) |
