Default The Last Alaska MD-80 Flight

Does anyone know which flight number, day, time and destinations that would be? I'm such a sentimental sap that I'd like to take that last flight on that wonderful bird. Sniffling as I write this.

I've got about 2500 hours in that telephone pole on wings. Whatever you are going to fly afterward your going to love it even more and wonder what the heck it was that you liked so much about the maddog!

So nobody knows?

And the proper word to describe the MD-80 is "phallic," not telephone pole or Kleenex.

T__T

For your teary eyes, Mrs. Bond.

I'll miss the dog. Riding up front is very pleasant when you get the two side to yourself. Quiet and comfortable.

It's not nearly as somber as the retirement of the 727. Nevertheless, I'll tip my glass to those that will miss her.....because I won't

This came to me in an email from the airline itself.

From Magadan, Russia, to Mazatlan Mexico, and all points between, the "Mad Dogs" helped make Alaska Airlines what it is today during their 23 years of service. As we bid farewell to the MD-80, we salute our Alaska Airlines crews and the customers who flew with us along the way. Our last two MD-80 flights take place on August 24, 2008. Flight 331 will depart San Jose at 7:50 p.m. and Flight 363 will depart Sacramento at 8:20 p.m. There are still seats available if you'd like to join us for this historic moment as we transition to an all Boeing 737 fleet!
I would love to get on one of these, but Alas(ka), I have plans that do not include being in San Jose or Sacramento. Actually, I have never been to either town in my life.
