Legend gone
May not mean much, except for the DAL pilots who were privileged enough to sit in one of her classes. Think she was also a past president of the American Business Womens Association. She was a piece of work.-
Pat Malone, Delta's 'Mother' took great pride in 'her pilots' | ajc.com |
I had no idea she was involved in a car crash! That's horrible! She came into our new hire class in May, and she looked and acted like she was in great health! Looks like she was taken from us way too early. It's a sad day indeed.

The aviation community lost one of the very best.
Pat Malone was a truly great lady. She was the living definition of the phrase: "Class Act". I have tears in my eyes as I'm typing this. |

Of course she looked and acted like she was in good health. The car accident was July 27th.

I think he meant that she was in good health for an 84 year old. I was highly impressed listening to her in our class last year. Sad indeed.

Our indoc class was honored to have Mother Malone as a guest speaker on two occasions. She truly was a living legend and a wonderful person.
