Default Jet Blue Pay Raise

Posted in the downloads section: http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/o...temid,112.html

"JetBlue’s primary goal for all Crewmembers is to provide predictable job security. To that end, we do not have a furlough mechanism in the Agreement, nor do we have a Force Majeure clause. Even in today’s environment of $135 barrel oil, which is resulting in reduced capacity, we have a plan to keep every JetBlue Pilot on property."

I know that you are joking...The company did the best they could to divide the pilot group with the minor pay changes and have completely spat in their pilot's faces on all of the benefits issues. If you don't see a NMB election in the next couple of monts getting started, then I am afraid that the pilots at JB will get exactly what they deserve. Nada!

I have mixed feelings about it, I was hoping for more, or at least match up 320/190 pay for the first two years because I don't even have the options of bidding over to the 320 and there are guys junor to me who will make more money second year than I will. Though I am glad I am getting a pay raise at all given the curent market and talking to all my friends at United and American and they called me to tell me they are gonna be on the street and I then I get a pay raise.

buffmike, is not about the money. the main issues are still unresolved:

1-we still get only a max of $500/week on OJI (on the job injury) for the first
3 months and after months 6 and on.

2-if you are on LOL (LOSS OF LICENSE/MEDICAL) you have to play COBRA after 6 months ,and then ,after 18 months, you loose you medical bennefits altogether.

3-our vacation/sick time accrual is half what the average is for other carriers

4-we have no scope protection

5-we have all our retirement outside of our PEA (PILOT EMPLOYMENT AGREEM,ENT) AND OUR MEDICAL BENEFITS AND PREMIUMS AS WELL, SO IT CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME

6-WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER SCHEDULING AND OUR PATHETIC fsm FALLS OUTSIDE OUR pea"a.

the list goes on and on...

please, buffmike, get informed and read the PCRB report!!!!then compare its findings with the sack of **** we got .... oh by the way, you got your pathetic raise at the expense of future hires who will now get $40 /hour....

whoah whoah easy there greedy. We got something rather than nothing. 190 captains got a 10% raise across the board. You should be glad we got anything considering the nature of the industry right now. Dude, just be happy your employed. Hey we're not even union and we're getting more than every company out there. Overall Im pretty happy with the outcome.

WE didnt get anything, SOME did. Our paychecks will be no different with the raises some got. Our PTS, lowered bid divisors, reserve changes and the Sept. drawdown in flying means WE didnt take as much of a paycut.

If you are pleased with the result, tell that to those who got 0%!!!!

Sweeper,

Easy there tiger. I was one of those who got 0% and Im ok with it. Im ok with it because I'm happy to be employed by a company that takes care of us. Its not always about you, sometimes it's about the company and this is one of those times. One day it may be about you but not today.

JetBlue can't send in the cards for us. The pilots have to do it.

I did read the PCRB front to back twice, I understand that things could be better. But some of those airlines that we were compared against have pilots on the street or gonna be on the street soon, United, America, US, Spirit, Midwest, Frontier and maybe a couple of more that I can't think of right now. Instead of thinking of what I don't have I am thinking of what I do have.
