I didn't hear 2 in Nov. but from a pretty good source, that a "possible 2" in 08 and 7 in 09(replacement for the lease returns). Mind you that is from the same source that mentioned "something big is going to happen affecting about 250 pilots real soon???" (before the WARN letter was sent out). Take it FWIW.....

The replacement will be 320's though... I think everyone knows that one?

When/if they show up, then I will believe it.

I certainly hope it's true. I need it badly now.

Looks like Spirit did pretty well. Still some ~145 pilots are furloughed. Wow great way of doing business.

of course they're making money. They stopped paying lease payments on 8-10 aircraft plus the furloughed guys.

and don't forget that great NK customer service... "the inflight move this evening, while enroute to (you fill in the blank for any third world nation) will be Porky's and don't forget to purchase one of our snack packs consisting of; one Moon Pie, a Slim Jim, RC cola and a bottle of Pepto-Bismol for only $10's."

That is where the big money is coming from

I'm glad I just drive the "bus" and don't have to make any real decisons.

Look for advertisements posted on window shades, tray tables and overhead bins. Another "revenue generator".
Hope this company is REALLY making money so we all get recalled soon. Really don't feel like packing and heading to the Middle East in December.

I know already 3 guys who barely started with Spirit (furloughed now) and will not come back. They have gone to better things and my hats to them. I am sure they are not the only ones...

I might head to the Middle East myself. Might not be so bad after all.

That's what I don't understand. Aviation in the US is in the toilet and I'm hanging on to this job by my fingernails. At the same time I'm receiving unsolicited emails from contract companies offering DEC jobs all over the world with decent T & C. What's wrong with this picture?

Arabs are very smart. They are doing exactly what the United States did in the 70s and 80s: attract talent from around the world by offering a nice package.
