Does Southwest think this is funny?
We were taxing out this morning, SWA ignored (or weren't listening) Ground Controls order to hold short for us. I heard the transmission from ATC twice, with no response from SWA. Only when we weren't going to hold for them, Maverick piped up asking what was going on. I've seen this more than once. What kind of dangerous game are you playing? Do you feel its your right to always try and get the upper-hand. Its this level of mutual respect SWA has lost trying to be number one. I still respect SWA and am impressed with the business plan and profits. Why be so predatory and try and take advantage of everything and everyone? I can't understand why SWA pilots would be so pompous amongst their peer group. Don't forget where you came from gentleman.

If you dudes think there's a class in the SWA training center on how to cut off other aircraft on the taxiway, you're being pathetic.
You have no idea what was going on in their cockpit.
I would submit to you that you've probably missed a radio call or two in your day. Lighten up.

swa DOES have the reputation of being the most generous and hospitable jumpseat providers in the industry...just be careful when they are moving down a taxiway under ships power.

A few years ago SWA got caught behind us in RSW. Apparently we were taxiing too slow because SWA informed the tower they were capable of an intersection departure. The request was promptly denied.
I've personally been cut off by SWA, but it doesn't really bother me. Just don't hit me, and we are cool.
