career question?

I am a 3 year FO workin at XJT. I live in vegas and They just shut down our west coast bases . I had given up on apply to anymore west coast jobs but I got an interview with Allegiant. I want to some day fly for a legacy airline DAL, AA, CAL, etc or UPS/FEDEX(slim chance of course) Is this a good move or would it not look good to have moved around like that? Thanks for any advise. I know Im blessed to just have A job right now. And I thank God for that.

Thanks

I would think that allegiant would be slightly better experience than a regional...they fly MD's which are mainline-type airplanes.

Consider the upgrade time, whatever it is.

I would love to fly a mad dog any day. At least you will be closer to home right?

The move to Alleigant looks like a good one for you.
Large jet experience, fairly stable company in the current environment, good upgrade times from what I have heard.(1-2) years?
The pay has got to be better than as a 1900 F.O. right?

Ya Ill be closer to home since they have a LAS base prob wont get it right away but Im sure in a few months I could hold it

Im on the ERJ145, I flew the 1900 before

Congrats on the Allegiant interview. Did you have an internal rec over there?

Very good move in my opinion if you get it. I've seen several guys and guyettes go to G4 and move on to greener pastures (a la WN, DL) very quickly (1-2 years). My 2 cents anyhow.

Go back to school; degree in finance, minor in economics, get some business law in there too, and GET OUT OF THE AIRLINE BUSINESS while you can. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
