Non-Commercial Forum?

Non-Commercial Forum?
I don't like how this forum has turned into a billboard for Google adds (although the new owners have right to do so). Does anyone know of a different forum that hasn't sold out to big business?

I don't mind the single banner on the top. The banner below that is ok.
I don't care for the ads in the margin at all.
Just some constructive feedback. Maybe a compromise would limit the amount of ads while still generating revenue for APC.

i'm in agreement, i just logged on to see what's new tonight, and wasn't expecting to find the new layout. I'm not a fan, the one on the top doesn't bother me tooo much, the one between the posts and the banner does, along with the ones on the side....I can't complain about the site being free, but it's a little annoying to log in to read about the airline plight, while seeing an add for "zero time to hired" right above it.

Although I'm not a fan of banners, the site is free. So, if they need the advertising to keep the forum going, then that's what it takes and I can live with it.
I'd rather have the forum with ads than not have it at all.

The airlines should start advertising on the outside and inside of the airplanes. Maybe if they sold out a little they could make some money and stay in bidness. Just think you could be flying the Coors light 737 or Viagra Md-80. I don't mind the banners at all. I hope they make some money.

How have they reached dimishing returns? This site has always been free and even if they get 1 cent they will have increased their profit an infinite amount.
So, since this site has always been free, with no membership fee, how has dimished returns been met? Now, if we're talking a site with an entry fee, then you may have a point - users simply won't sign up if they see too many adds.
I use firefox and don't see any ads either, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

Now if you were being sarcastic.....sorry I didn't pick up on that
Just my opinion of course.
