why is it when people try to address a fundamental problem, they get accused of being unpatriotic? nobody is saying that the great sacrifices of the men and women who have served our country were in vain. yes they fought and continue to fight to keep our country free, but that doesnt mean we cant suggest that we have problems we have to deal with at home. if you look at the arguments being made you will see the solution isnt to stick to one partisan approach. the answer, as usual, lies somewhere in the middle. free markets are good, but they require some regulation.

and remember we are airline pilots and we are by definition blue collar workers (we earn an hourly wage). thats all i have to say about that

I think you need to wake up and see what's going on in this country, because I seriously don't think you have a clue. We're only a free market society when things are going well. When they turn south, those who were the biggest proponents of the free market run to the government for help. The irony of all this is, those you seem most concerned about...the service men and women of this country, are left holding the bag just like the rest of the working class in this country, while those in the corner offices line their pockets.

Well I agree with you to a point - however no country on earth is so perfect that it never goes through any serious turmoils, and no we are not immune to those.

I'm ready for some major Wall Street reforms, improvements in oversight, enforcement, etc. followed by just as major reforms on the main street - mainly people stopping to plan living their lives with the help of credit cards.

No, I am not ready for a knee-jerk reaction knows as 'revolt' - I leave that to "revolt specialist" - the Russians and the French.

In other words it should never be so that management always votes for one party while the laborers vote for another, neither should voters of one race plan to vote for a person of the same race to the tune of 95% just because of his/her race. That's just sad and shows that we have a looong way to go......

Not anymore, they are slowly reverting back to the 'normal' - 40 hour week. Come to find out, they couldn't quite afford it, imagine that?
