Not completely joking ... Back when I was at AWA, there was a nice B757 sim that ATA operated in the AWA training center. Not used by the west crews at all ... FWIW. JUST FLAMING THE FIRE ! :D |

Looked again today. Their ours (USAirways) At least the company is acting like it is going to stay in business. Some new routes: Tel Aviv, Oslo, and Birmingham, England. KCLT will serve Paris this season.

US Airways eyes further fleet cuts, delays A350 deliveries
US Airways eyes further fleet cuts, delays A350 deliveries By Mary Kirby US Airways plans to implement further fleet cuts in 2009 and 2010 and has pushed back delivery of its 22 Airbus A350 XWBs by one year, to 2015. The airline has previously announced that it was returning 10 aircraft to lessors to meet capacity reduction targets - six Boeing 737-300s by the end of 2008 and four Airbus A320 family aircraft in the first half of 2009. It has also cancelled leases on two A330-200s that had been due for delivery in the second half of 2009. The airline has now revealed in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange commission that it plans to remove "additional aircraft in 2009 and 2010". Meanwhile, deliveries of US Airways' first A350s have been rescheduled from 2014 to 2015, with the last due to arrive in 2018. The move is part of a broader amendment deal with Airbus that also covers A320 family aircraft and A330s. In exchange for the agreement, Airbus has advanced US Airways $200 million earned in consideration of aircraft deliveries under the various related purchase agreements. |
If age 65 hadn't passed this wouldn't be as bad as it's going to be. Forcast looks like furloughs followed by furloughs with occasional scattered furloughs:(.

I never got a call, but got to see guys with multiple DUIs and less time get hired. If I can get my medical back I'll be focusing on the Cargo carriers and Southwest. Otherwise, it would seem like you don't have the qualifications they want. Go out and get some multiple DUI's ... :D:D Seriously, hang in there and good luck. |
