Southwest Ramp Workers Picketing

Southwest Ramp Workers Picketing Love Field

It's a surprise to see labor discord at Southwest, especially with multiple employee groups now. I hope this is a temporary thing and not a portent of things to come.

I feel like this just maybe the beginning. GK is no Herb. Unfortunately, employees aren't as much a priority as in the past.

I think with Herb gone things are going to change. Gary Kelly is more of a numbers guy, always has been. If you look at his leadership style vs. Herb there is quite a difference.

Ramp guys were proposed a 1% pay raise after having the same contract for 7 years. I can guarantee you if the pilot group was offered 1% it would probably not be good.

I think no matter what company you are working at....the current state of the economy is making everyone nervous and folks are attempting to stay even with the rise in the cost of living. Its scary out there for EVERYONE.
