Yea, Baltia came to the Job Fair in Miami in January 2010. Took resumes and pictures of people, said they would be starting up soon. Said they had an airplane in maintenance... Well.... Yea, Baltia, Family, Avatar... waste of people's time. Now that there is movement in the Pilot pool nationwide, companies like these will fade away.

TBH I cannot believe anyone would take an airline name like this seriously. It almost sounds like something out of a B-list comedy. Also, sadly the CEO having a felony probably wont sit too well with the general public as they're scared little sheeple.

I was chatting with one of our FA's a couple weeks ago, and she claimed that she spoke to a man claiming to be the Family Airline's chief pilot (not sure if it's the same guy from above). He said that Family Airlines has received significant investment from Sir Richard Branson and will be relabeled as Avatar Airlines.

Perhaps there is truth to this after all???????

Oh yeah, attached are some pics of the Family Airlines headquarters I took last year. I've been meaning to post them for a long time but kept forgetting.

The Mini Care and Nevada Only LLC businesses on the sign are also owned by the same "CEO". As far as I could tell, Mini Care doesn't yet exist either and they are also charging $50 to apply for a nursing job.

FYI...I have been flying the B744 as Capt for an airline in China the last 2 years. Prior to this I flew the C141 for 10 years in the USAF as LINE and SIM IP ...then the DC10, B744, L1011, and B747, with various companies, now with 26 years of aviation experience. I have worked as DC10 and B747 Check Captain both in SIM and LINE operations. I have been DC10 Prgm Mgr for 3 airlines. I have experience writing manuals, designing trng programs, and conducting flight training and checking.
