Take care of ATA Pilots
 

Anyone in a position to help a fellow brother furloughed, and looking for work during these times, especially pilots like those at ATA, deserve a helping hand. While some of you companies may prosper at their former companies loss, remember them.

A number of the ATA guys were picked up by OMNI AIR. Those who want to stay in aviation can avail themselves of online employment agencies. There are jobs out there, but not in the US.

Several ATA and Aloha boys showed up over here (India). Seem like a pretty good bunch. :)

That makes no sense.

It makes perfect sense (assuming "you" was supposed to be "your").

We also here at World hired several of my former coworkers.I along with others will continue to help any ex ATA pilots and FA's that are interested in a career here...

The former ATA pilots hired at World have made a very favorable impression on the line crews, training department and management. That will go along way to help those pilots looking for work at World.

Is World still hiring? And if they are, is it only ex-Gemini and ATA right now, or are they taking resumes, interviewing anyone?

According to the World Pilot Employment Hotline, World is not currently in a period of active pilot hiring. The last update was October 4th, though, so things may have changed.

We have a large backlog in the training department with all of the Gemini MD-11 guys going through. I think that we might take a short breath before we hire again. It's always tough to tell at this time of year.
