jumpseating between mexico
#2
- You can probably jumpseat OUT of the us, it would depend on the airline. Some might not allow you to occupy the cockpit.
- You cannot jumpseat INTO the US...some airlines interpret this to mean that you cannot occupy the actual (which makes sense). A few airlines took this literally and do not allow jumpseaters in the cabin either on inbound flights.
Contact the union jumpseat comittee for the airline you are interested in...this is probably the ONLY way to get a straight answer...but even so there is a danger that the gate agent in a foriegn country might not know how to deal with your request.
Non-rev or ZED is probably safer...you can't be in the actual when inbound anyway.
