What is your carrier's buddy pass program?
 

At SWA, we have to fly 233 trips for pay (avg of 78 per month and exclusive of sick, vacation, etc) in a quarter to get any buddy passes...I am pretty sure this lags most other airlines, but want to see exactly what other carriers offer. Thanks in advance for any help!

Well I think your buddy passes are free right!?

Well I get 20 one way passes per year no questions asked. But they suck!!! They average $170 per round trip in the USA. So usually you can get a better deal or at least close if you look far enough in advance online.

They should be called enemy passes. I really dont like to give them out. Your Buddies wont be your buddies much longer if you give em passes.

At UPS, you first have to package yourself into a brown, corrugated box. Then you can fly anywhere you want in the domestic system for only $1.18 per pound.

No food or drinks included for non-rev's.

CAL gives you around 10 a year, but you're lower than whale snot on the food chain when it comes to boarding, and they're $102.50 each way in the USA. I believe they're around $200 each way international, so you're better off buying a POSITIVE space ticket for a few dollars more and not dealing with the headaches.:o

I get 8 US Airways passes a year and I get a Mesa pass ever 2 months. Like others say, I don't like to give them out unless they are experienced non-rev travelers because they are SUCH a hassle.

For international travel, they aren't too terribly bad, but forget domestic travel these days. I've been ending up in the jumpseat more often than not recently.

SkyWest- 24 flight segments (legs) per calendar year. $30 each leg. Only applicable on United Express and Midwest Connect, see next:

For SkyWest aircraft operating as Delta Connection, you have to use the Delta rules... which means that your buddies can also fly on mainline Delta. The cost is the same as Delta employees (per mile). Not allowed to use SkyWest passes on Delta Connection. 6 trips per year (no limit on legs/length).

For some (not me), that is close to $300!!! Not a very good deal at all. :D

But after my Christmas binge, I refuse to look..... :rolleyes:

NWA sucks at eey arverything... I get 16 one way bp's per year, but they are taxed per mile and then per class...plus you have to fly with your buddy,unless they are flying driectly to your base..so really not a pass...They should be called...."I'm going to babysit you and your girlfriend on the flight to hawaii, then take your money."

24 one ways to give to your list of 13 approved travelers, which can only be changed at one year intervals. Spouse and Children do not come off the 24 one ways, parents & guests/friends do. Typical domestic is 28 coach and 50 first for you, your spouse & kids. Everybody else is higher rates... 48 coach, 100ish first... longer the flight, the higher the service fees. Europe averaged 200 each way for a guest/friend recently.

20 one ways per year on Horizon/Alaska, 90% discounted rate.
