A degree in Aviation Management is fine. But a degree in another field is better in the event things start fizzling out in the airline world… Oh wait they have.
Think of another field that would provide a motivation to get up in the morning to go to work… or even better to start your own business.

Got an A.A. in Aeronautical Science but majored in Criminal Justice for my B.S. I definitely wanted a "back up," just in case. Good thing too, I ended up using it -- became a police officer for 3 years before getting on with a regional.

I have a BS in Aviation Flight Operations from SJSU. Right before Delta went bankrupt a got $4K out of them toward a MBA, which I did on line. Still flying airplanes and never been furloughed... YET. Damned it, I'm too old and over qualified to do anything else now.
